EBCLO is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the Thomas J. Long Foundation to receive a $15,000 grant to the Education Advocacy Program recently featured on CBS when its founder, Daniel Senter, was honored with a Jefferson Award. Thomas J. Long co-founded Long’s Drugs with his brother in Oakland in 1938. His legacy for philanthropy lives on through the Foundation which has been supporting “local charitable organizations, which provide programs and services that benefit and inspire the people of the communities where we live, work and play” for over 40 years. EBCLO looks forward to partnering with the Foundation throughout the next year to further the goals of achieving education equity for foster youth in Alameda County.
